Sheila Gupta DeCiccio has practiced law since 1981. Ms. DeCiccio is an aggressive litigator who handles all facets of civil litigation including personal injury, construction defects, products liability, employment law, dram shop cases and contracts.
She began her legal career as a prosecutor in Plymouth County, Massachusetts where she was an Assistant District Attorney handling both felony and misdemeanor prosecutions of juveniles and adults, a position that involved extensive trial experience. As a prosecutor, she rose through the ranks and supervised and trained new Assistant District Attorneys.
Prior to DeCiccio & Johnson, Ms. DeCiccio worked at Lowndes, Drosdick, Doster, Kantor & Reed, P. A., from 1983 through 1992 where she became the first women partner and handled major civil litigation and tried numerous cases in the state and federal courts in Florida.
Ms. DeCiccio received her undergraduate degree from the University of New Hampshire in 1978 (Cum Laude) , studied abroad at New England College in Arundel, England and received her law degree in 1981 from the New England School of Law in Boston, Massachusetts.
Ms. DeCiccio is a member of the Florida Bar and licensed to practice law in Massachusetts. Her professional affiliations include the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh and First Circuits, and the U. S. District Courts for the Middle, Northern and Southern Districts. She is a member of the Orange County Bar Association.
Ms. DeCiccio served on the Planning and Zoning Board for the City of Winter Park, Florida from 2013-2019. She served on the Code Enforcement Board for the City of Winter Park, Florida from 2009 to 2013, where she was elected Chairperson. She is currently serving on the Economic Advisory Board for Winter Park and the Orange Avenue Steering Committee for the redevelopment of Orange Avenue in Winter Park. She is a member of the Rotary Club of Winter Park, Polasek Museum, Winter Park History Museum and the Winter Park Land Trust.
Ms. DeCiccio was elected to the Winter Park City Commission, Seat 2, in 2020.
